This unusually constructed stocking is a great holiday multi-tasker. Learn how to make an “afterthought” knitted heel, play with crochet fan stitch, and become proficient at Kitchener stitch, all while creating an heirloom stocking to treasure for years to come. Maybe you should make some Heart Strings mittens or a Cranberry Sauce hat to nestle inside the stocking, too.

Gauge: 16 dc and 4 rows = 4"
19 sts and 26 rows = 4" in Stockinette
Gauge is not absolutely critical for this design. As long as you are close to correct on both knit and crochet gauges, you stocking will turn out proportional. If you are significantly off in one stitch but not the other, please change needle size to bring your gauge closer to consistent within both crafts, otherwise your stocking may have incorrectly shaped areas.

Available Sizes: One size

Measurements: Approximately 24" long from cuff to toe and 10.5" in circumference around the body of the stocking
